D-Erythro-dihydrosphingosine at 100 AM slightly inhibits [3H]Arachidonic acid release, and 5μM Ionomycin alone stimulates the release significantly. In the presence of 5μM Ionomycin, 100μM C2-ceramide stimulates the release, but D-Erythro-dihydrosphingosine (100μM) inhibits the release. D-Erythro-dihydrosphingosine inhibits arachidonic acid release in cells and/or cPLA2α activity
