体外研究：MMP-9-IN-1 (compound 2；100 μM；14 小时) 不会引起明显的细胞毒性。 MMP-9-IN-1 (compound 2；10 μM) 显著抑制 HT-1080 和 MDA-MB-435 细胞的增殖。
体内研究：MMP-9-IN-1 (compound 2；20 mg/kg；腹腔内和肿瘤内交替注射；每周 6 天；持续 14 周) 可显著延缓携带 MDA-MB-435/GFP 肿瘤的 NCR-Nu 小鼠的肿瘤生长。 MMP-9-IN-1 可抑制体内癌细胞转移。
