Pentosan polysulfate treatment preserves renal function, significantly reduces albuminuria, andmarkedly decreases the severity of renal lesions, including tubulointerstitial inflammation. Pentosan Polysulfate Sodiumalso reduces upregulation of TNFα and proinflammatory genes in aging diabetic kidneys.
